This lake with its amazingly blue water is one of the main attractions of northern Mongolia.

The eastern shore is supposed to be more scenic and less populated. Hot springs can be visited from hatgal by horse/Motorcycle in a 1 day trip. The northern part of the Lake is frequently visited by Russians for camping, fishing and holiday activities. From Hatgal, finding an appropriate (depending on your wishes) activity plan or accommodation type of choice is not difficult. The South-Western shore of the lake offers many Campsites and Gers for spending the night. The Lake itself inhabits numerous of endemic species – plants as well as fish. The surrounding Maintains give picturesque options for photography.
