Get Involved

in community-based, eco-friendly and sustainable tourism

During the main tourist season, HATI (Huvsgul Association for Tourist information) is supported by two volunteers from the European Union [GLEN Program] – local interns are warmly welcome to support in their daily tasks. Funds are unfortunately not available, neither for locals nor for the foreigners.

If you want to apply for GLEN (only Europeans) and help for the next season, your search should begin at the respective website http://www.glen-europe.org (or www.asa-programm.de for Germans, www.inexsda.cz for Czechs). Do also not hesitate to contact HATI directly through the form in the Contacts section of this website.

HATI is not-for-profit organization and our work costs money, therefore donations are appreciated.

The work fields and involvements of HATI are not only focused on encouraging (eco\socially-) sustainable tourism. We also work in fields of awareness raising in other fields especially around Murun. We try to connect, make contacts and raise funds for issues that affect the population or might lead to the improvement of the local livelihood. We need materials as well as workforce and contacts therefore we can provide you a brief overview of our focus besides and fields of interest.

  • Environmental awareness (litter, plastic, recycling) i.e. collection and reuse of organic compounds. Reuse of plastic bottles for water purification (SODIS).

  • Social projects / community based humanitarian aid i.e. self empowerment for microfinance\insurance for herders and vulnerable people, small communities.

  • Educational meetings and promoting awareness programs about health issues, gardening, greenhouses compost.

  • Promoting easy language to overcome barriers in daily life, hotels, restaurants,...

  • Training in first aid as standard for drivers & guides and quality standards of tourism involved stakeholders.
