Activities for all tourists: horse, yak, reindeer and camel riding

Since the average amount of horses per person counts 13 in Mongolia, you have plenty of opportunities to ride one. There is nothing easier than just go to any ger and arrange horse riding, although for reliable horses you should contact a tour guide or HATI. Horse riding experience can vary from one hour around Murun to several days trek in the mountains near Huvsgul Lake or to the Tsaatan community. Hiring a horse can cost approximately from eight to fifteen dollars per day. Be careful, local horses are semi-wild and they have different type of pace which might be tough for European body.
Huvsgul aimag is home to several other animals which you can also ride. Reindeers, camels and yaks are able to carry you for a while in order to give you unique experience. Please behave to all animals and people in the area with respect and humbleness as to arrange your riding experience is not their only sense of live.
